Students + Evidence = Impact!

Deb discussed key elements of evidence-based practice (EBP). Gaining input from students, she culls data to create collaborative integrated programming for her school. The key components include voices, the concept of EBP, and impact. Voices are those of the students providing vital feedback of what they’ve learned. The concepts of EBP entail data collection to determine what works, what doesn’t, and how various methods can be improved. Making connections between projects completed in the library, library standards, and the subject frameworks is key. Impact requires public relations, marketing and advocacy. She gives great steps in planning how to implement such a program. She also encourages the LT to grade bibliographies. Deb’s program is what we all aspire to do!
