I know that others have already posted about Cassandra Barrett’s session about the new AASL National Standards. She started our session by saying that she hoped she would make the standards accessible enough that we could take one idea away with us for immediate use in our classrooms. She dared to think that some people might even take two things.
Well, here are my two things:
1.) I don’t have to do it all at once. I can map it out one piece at a time.
2.) I need to ask students to teach each other, argue with each other and come to a consensus with each other more often.
